The cost of being complacent/lazy

On Tuesday morning after I came back from the gym (but before heading to work), I finished the production of 560 T2 components I had invented 2 nights prior, and queued for manufacture immediately afterwards.

An unfortunate event follows, but a lesson is learnt.

So after coming back from the gym and showering, I logged into EVE and gathered the T2 modules together and placed them into the cargohold of my completely shield fitted Badger II with cargohold expanders galore. I then had a thought "Should I just contract this out to Red Frog and get them to deliver, or should I just autopilot to Jita and offload them when I get home?". Guess which option I opted for?

Upon arrive home from work, I unlocked the laptop and low and behold I am in a pod not my badger!!! WTF?! Checking the log, my badger was one-shot with a 1200mm Howitzer in high-security space, but luckily my pod got away and completed the journey I guess.

Around 400M ISK in modules were lost to looters, yes they were all intact when dropped!

There is a very lucky and slightly richer griefer out there right now :)

Laziness and complacency kills, remember that in New Eden.

Happy Flying,

Adam
