Setting the goal

With the New Year, comes resolutions. And i'm sure a great deal of you will know plenty of people resolving to get fit, look better, drop a pant / dress size. Well I am going to do this in the most public place I can. Right here for the world to follow along.

I believe I have the knowledge to be able to pursue my goal of dropping 15kg before the end of the first quarter.

Admittedly I have not been the most active / fit person around, and I have begun to realise it a little later in life. Following my teenage years I had been working a great deal in the high pace world of pizza shops. Yes, I worked in a rather busy store, but managed to maintain a fairly lean physique.
It wasn't until I left the pizza industry (a rather well established chain) and moved to a small chain of fruit smoothie stores did I start to put weight on again. Even after I left their employ (major stress concerns over the day to day), I made another mistake and worked for a small company (in it's infancy) developing websites, there the weight stacked on hard and fast!

Following my eventual ceasing work for a few development firms I started a new career focusing more on physics, science, and outdoors activity. During one of my training courses I did more Personal Training, was eating far more reguarly and slept pretty much on command.

Since then, I have injured my ankle (complete inversion with a torn front ligament), it was reconstructed and six months later I was back into running at a sub-maximal rate. Six months later again I re-injured my ankle, although this time is appears to be a different ligament, and a further six months brings us to today, a time where I have declared I will be holding myself accountable to the world for re-achieving my fitness and sharing how I am doing this.

Happy New Year's Resolutions everyone :)
